Regenerative Medicine

As medical researchers unlock the human body’s mysteries, they’re discovering the powerful healing resources that are available within and, more importantly, how to tap them to help rebuild and repair tissue. At 7 Springs Orthopedics, the team has embraced the cutting-edge science of regenerative medicine to help their patients heal more quickly and effectively.

Common Conditions

Regenerative medicine is widely used among orthopedists, including those at 7 Springs, to help treat:

  • Arthritis
  • Ligament tears
  • Tendon injuries
  • Tendinitis

The orthopedic specialists at 7 Springs Orthopedics also use regenerative medicine to help you heal more quickly, and more strongly.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections:
Your blood contains four ingredients: white and red blood cells, platelets, and plasma. While your platelets may be best known for helping with clotting, they also contain hundreds of proteins, or growth factors, that help in healing. With PRP therapy, your provider draws some of your own blood and isolates your platelets using a centrifuge. They then take this concentrate and mix it back in with your plasma and inject it directly into your damaged tissue. Once there, these platelets release growth factors into the area to encourage cell rebuilding.
